Laura Stoltz
Laura Stoltz is a former High School English, Speech, and Theatre Teacher with a minor in Psychology. Laura left teaching in 1997 when she experienced severe issues with her first pregnancy. After the birth of two of her 3 children, she stayed home and volunteered at their schools. She then entered the animal care field as a volunteer for a Non-Profit Rescue Organization 16 years ago. Laura was a local leader of the Girl Scouts and together with her troop volunteered weekly to take care of those animals that were up for adoption (both cats and dogs). Through her volunteer work, Laura had an opportunity to meet the owner of K9 Tailshakers, Inc., Jan Flanagan. It was then that she started her career in animal care. Laura started working for K9 Tailshakers in early 2010 as a kennel attendant working with the boarding dogs. As she continued to grow and learn, she quickly moved through all the departments until landing where she is today. Laura is Pet Tech CPR/1st Aid Certified, PACCC certified (CPACM) and has completed additional educational programs through The Dog Gurus, IPBSA, Fred Pryor, and many more. She is always looking for ways to improve life for her family, staff, clients, and their pets. In her spare time, Laura concentrates on finding ways to continue to grow K9 Tailshakers, Inc. and educational opportunities to expand knowledge for herself and/or her staff. Laura has 3 beautiful children that she currently shares her home with; her husband of almost 30 years and her old man, Tiny; who is a 16-year-old Heinz 57 dog. He is a pit, husky, dob, and who knows what else mix.
