Maxwell Wallace
My name is Maxwell, I started my dog training career in May of 2017 at K9 Tailshakers, with my dog Morgan, apprenticing under a trainer named Ben. After watching what could be achieved through training, I was hooked, and wanted to learn as much as I could to improve my life with my dog, and give her the satisfaction of purpose in her life. The further into the rabbit-hole that I went, the more I wanted to share that gift with others, and improve the bond and life of other people and their dogs. With my appetite for knowledge whetted, I sought to travel north to TOPS Kennel, where I participated in an advanced class with Morgan, which developed into an opportunity for growth through employment working with many challenging and truly aggressive dogs. Additionally, I was able to work with clients who shared my love of, or would come to enjoy training as much as I did, building their skills and relationships with their own dogs, and providing them with fun and challenging environment in which to continually exercise their skills. While I learned a lot there I chose to come back home, to K9 Tailshakers, to enable myself to enjoy more time with my dogs, and family. I look forward to enhancing relationships here and building a fun environment for people and dogs to enjoy together! Most of my time outside of training and working with my own dogs is spent either staring at or maintaining my too many aquariums.
“This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.”
― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
